Falmouth: The Town That I Forgot

Having chosen to stay in Falmouth for a little while following graduation this Cornish seaside town has become the focus of my everyday photography. Despite having been down here now for three years I have spent surprisingly little time photographing the little things that make Falmouth the place that it is. Whilst always on the lookout for great stories and projects for the course I feel I managed to somewhat overlook the town itself.  The photographs below show places that I have passed probably hundreds of times, but never really photographed. So now, for my pleasure alone, I have turned my camera towards these scenes.

These images were shot on my Pentax K1000 with an out of date (2005) colour film that I decided to shoot as an experiment. On my way to and from work I spent a little time wondering around photographing – and below are the results. I will continue to shoot around the town during my time here and will update the blog regularly with the images- perhaps creating a small personal project titled ‘Falmouth- The Town That I Forgot’.
