Portraits of Colour

For fear of being reminded of the trauma endured by many during the Gorka Earthquake of 2015, Holi wasn’t officially celebrated on Kathmandu’s Durbar Square in 2016 as it usually would be. This didn’t stop the resilient Nepali from celebrating though, far from it. Millions took to the streets of the country to celebrate the Hindu Spring festival. Locals and tourists alike spent the day playfully throwing powdered paint at one and other until every face was awash with the tell tale signs of a Happy Holi.
